PEOPLE I WORK WITH

Identity and Experience

I work with individuals who are:

  • Adults (18+)

  • Older adults (65+)

I work with individuals who experience symptoms of living including:

  • Trauma

  • Substance use/addiction

  • Grief and loss

  • Confidence/self-worth/self-esteem issues

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Chronic pain/illness

  • Relationship issues

  • Family conflict

  • Transitional life phases

  • Life stressors

  • Women's issues

As an inclusive therapist, I welcome all individuals to reach out to see if I might be able to help and if we can be a good fit. I practice with cultural sensitivity and especially enjoy working with the intersection of cultures. I am a social-justice oriented therapist with particular experience and training with racial trauma and individuals with physical disabilities. I am an LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent affirmative therapist.

I thoroughly enjoy working with individuals who identify as creatives, empaths, or Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs). Oftentimes these descriptors are interconnected, and I can help explore these as strengths and guides with you to help live a more peaceful and meaningful life.

APPROACH TO TREATMENT

Types of Therapy

I use a unique approach to treatment for each individual. I always cater treatment plans to your specific needs.

I pull from many schools of thought including humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, attachment-based, narrative, somatic,  mindfulness-based, and trauma-informed therapies. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to work on developing resources for coping and emotional regulation and for alleviating trauma responses. I also use Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help relieve psychogenic pain.

I also use effective interventions and exercises from evidence-based practices to help with coping skills, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral changes.

Research shows that the therapeutic relationship is fundamentally the most significant factor in the efficacy of therapy. I approach my work with you with authenticity, compassion, and curiosity. I believe that with a collaborative relationship, we work together to help creative positive change. I can help you to learn to cultivate stronger and more meaningful relationships, feel more at peace, and improve self-confidence.

A Supportive Hug

GETTING STARTED

The Breakdown

I typically see individuals for 50-minute therapy sessions. There are times when longer sessions might be needed or you want support more often than once a week. I am able to work with you and offer services to create the best fit for you.

My fee is 230 for a 50-minute session. I offer a limited number of reduced fee spots. Please discuss any financial hardship you may be experiencing and I can work with you to see how I can best support you.

Currently all sessions are held through a HIPAA compliant platform using video calls due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Give me a call today for a free 20 minute phone consultation to get started.
